Over the past 17 years, Genesee Christian School’s Annual Auction has raised over $1.5 million to help with special projects, including increased security, building and parking lot renovations, new playground equipment, technology upgrades, as well as supplementing the general fund to meet operating expenses.
Auction Night- March 14, 2026
The auction is an evening filled with fun and games, a live auction, and a large silent auction. This year, we are spending A Night in Florence, Italy, where art, food, and culture merge. As you peruse auction items, you can hear the sweet music of students playing violins and try Italian-inspired desserts. This year, we are excited to have some interactive experiences for guests to enjoy that highlight the students’ talents.

How it Works
The Auction receives support from various businesses through sponsoring the event or placing ads in our Auction Catalog. Our Business Sponsors play a key role in supporting the event. If you own a business or know someone who does, this is an excellent opportunity to support GCS students and families.
School families ask businesses for tax-deductible donations of items, services, or gift certificates to auction at our fundraiser. Attendees then can enjoy a night of socializing, bidding on items, and experiencing some of the students’ talents.
All profits from the Auction go directly to the school.

Tips on How to Get Donations
Many businesses and restaurants like Italia Gardens, Biggby Coffee, and Pepsi, as well as others, set aside a monthly allowance for charitable donations. You can ask these businesses for inventory items such as gift cards, new items, or other goods that they can donate and write off as a tax deduction. A great place to start is with businesses you know and love. Personal connections make a difference. You can also ask your friends and family who do crafts or have their own businesses or services. If you find great deals on new items during Black Friday or other discount sales, you can purchase these items to donate to the auction.

Donation Items We Love
Consider donating any new item or service worth $10 or more to make a great contribution. There are numerous options to choose from, such as gift cards or certificates, handmade crafts, timeshare vacations, tickets to sporting events, cottage rentals, airplane sky tours, brand new jewelry, small appliances, sports memorabilia, and gift certificates for beauty, lawn care, and car maintenance services. These are just a few examples of the great items that have been donated to previous auctions.
