Over the past 17 years, the Genesee Christian School’s Annual Auction has raised over $1.5 million to help with special projects as well as supplementing the general fund to meet operating expenses. Last year, we raised $87,000 for new flooring for our elementary school classrooms. With your help, our goal is to raise $100,000 to kick-start a new building project at our high school.

Auction Night – March 13, 2027

The Auction is an evening filled with friendly conversation, a little competition, and a lot of fun! This year, we are spending an evening under the stars as we celebrate the story of our school and the students who make it so special. Come ready to bid on your favorite Silent Auction items and exclusive, in-person Live Auction offerings. We’ll have coffee, light bites, and chocolate fondue ready for you!

Tickets: On sale in January — $35 per person (link will be available in January)

How It Works

The Auction receives generous support from local businesses, families, and individuals through event sponsorships and advertisements in our Auction Catalog. If you own a business or know someone who does, this is an excellent opportunity to support GCS students and families.

GCS families help by asking local businesses to donate tax-deductible items, services, gift certificates, and experiences that can be offered through the Auction. On Auction night, guests can enjoy an evening of fellowship and friendly competition as they bid on these generous donations while also experiencing some of the talents and creativity of our students.

All proceeds from the Auction go directly to support Genesee Christian School.

Tips on How to Get Donations

Many businesses and restaurants, including Italia Gardens, Biggby Coffee, Pepsi, and others, set aside a monthly allowance for charitable donations. Don’t be afraid to ask! Businesses may be willing to donate items such as gift cards, new merchandise, services, or other goods that can be used in the Auction and may qualify as a charitable tax deduction.

A great place to start is with businesses you know and love. Personal connections can make a difference, so consider asking businesses where you shop, eat, or do business. You can also reach out to friends and family members who own businesses, provide services, or enjoy crafting. Their talents and products can make wonderful Auction donations!

Another option is to watch for great deals on new items during Black Friday, seasonal sales, or other special promotions. Purchasing a new item at a discounted price and donating it to the Auction can be an easy way to add a desirable item to our Auction while helping support GCS.

Donation Items We Love

Consider donating any new item or service worth $10 or more. There are numerous options to choose from, such as gift cards or certificates, handmade crafts, timeshare vacations, tickets to sporting events, cottage rentals, airplane sky tours, brand new jewelry, small appliances, sports memorabilia, and gift certificates for beauty, lawn care, and car maintenance services. These are just a few examples of the great items that have been donated to previous auctions.
