Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year
- Enrollment is completed online through FACTS Family Portal.
- Enrollment completed before June 1 ensures a seat in classes.
- Enrollment June 1 and after will incur a late fee of $25 per student.
Scrip
The next Scrip order date is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 7. This will be the last order for physical cards for the school year. There will be one summer order for physical cards. Please plan accordingly. Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey
Preschool Celebration
Our End of the Year Celebration will be May 24, at 10 a.m. in the gym. We will have a short program and light refreshments afterwards.
Daycare Closed May 31st
Daycare will be closed for staff training May 31. AM Latchkey is only available upon request. Please contact Mrs. Kubczak kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com if you need AM latchkey that day.
Summer Program
Our summer program begins Monday, June 3, at 7:00 a.m. If you would like your child to attend this program, please contact the daycare office for information at 810.743.3110 #2 or email Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com. If you have already received a summer contract, please return it to the office as soon as possible.
Daycare/Preschool Enrollment
We are taking applications for the 2024-2025 school year. If you are interested in enrolling your child in our program, please contact Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com to schedule a tour.
All students 4 years old and younger must enroll through the daycare/preschool program.
Elementary
Elementary Spring Concert
The elementary (1-5 graders) spring concert is Thursday, May 9, at South Baptist Church at 7:00 p.m. Please plan to join us!
It’s Spring!
Our playground will be muddy for the next several weeks. Please send boots, extra socks and outerwear with your child to keep them dry.
Summer Math and Reading Program
Each spring we encourage students to stay sharp on math and reading skills over the summer so they are ready to dive in when we return in the fall. We have tracking sheets and math fact sheets available to print under Resource Documents in Family Portal.
Additionally, BJU Press also offers a summer workbook called Vacation Station for students going into grades 1 through 6, that offers 2 pages of academics each day (with an answer key). Click on the link to print an order form and turn it in by May 10. Cost: $15 each.

Kindergarten Enrollment (K5)
Do you know someone who has a five year old ready for kindergarten? We want to meet families personally and take them on their own tour of the school. New families can go to the GCS website to submit an inquiry for more information https://geneseechristianschool.com/info/#admissions

Middle/High School
AP TESTING for Juniors and Seniors – STARTS THIS WEEK
All AP tests will be taken at GCS. The morning exams begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students should arrive at school by 7:45 a.m. for an 8:00 a.m. exam. Afternoon exams begin promptly at 12:00 p.m. Students MUST not be late or miss school on the day of the exam. These tests are from the College Board and MAY NOT be given at a different time other than what is listed below.
English Literature- Wednesday, May 8, at 8:00 a.m.
Psychology- Thursday, May 9, at noon
Biology- Thursday, May 23, at noon
Calculus- Friday, May 24, at 8:00 a.m.
Fun Friday – May 10
Mrs. Heath will be selling donuts on Friday in support of the Bible Project. Help us reach our goal of 50,000 copies of John and Romans again next year.

Scheduling 2024/2025 – Online Course Requests Open Until May 30
Course Requests for students are open on Family Portal and Student Portal. Mrs. Mein will be meeting with students in grades 6th-11th to choose classes for the upcoming school year.

Athletics
Athletic Physicals
Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have a physical form on file by the first day of practice. This form must be the MHSAA form completed and signed by a physician on or after April 15, 2023. This applies to high school and middle school sports. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.
