- Enrollment is completed online through FACTS Family Portal.
- Enrollment completed before June 1 ensures a seat in classes.

Scrip
The next Scrip order date will be Tuesday, May 7. This will be the last order for physical cards for the school year. There will be one summer order for physical cards. Please plan accordingly. Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey
Preschool Celebration
Our End of the Year Celebration will be May 24, at 10am in the gym. We will have a short program and light refreshments afterwards.
Daycare Closed May 31st
Daycare will be closed for staff training May 31. AM Latchkey is only available upon request. Please contact Mrs. Kubczak kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com if you need AM latchkey that day.
Summer Program
Our summer program begins Monday, June 3 at 7:00 am. If you would like your child to attend this program, please contact the daycare office for information at 810.743.3110 #2 or email Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com. If you have already received a summer contract, please return it to the office as soon as possible.
Daycare/Preschool Enrollment
We are taking applications for the 2024-2025 school year. If you are interested in enrolling your child in our program, please contact Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com to schedule a tour.
All students 4 years old and younger must enroll through the daycare/preschool program.
Elementary
It’s Spring!
Our playground will be muddy for the next several weeks. Please send boots, extra socks and outerwear with your child to keep them dry.
Almost Summer
Each spring we encourage students to stay sharp on math and reading skills over the summer so they are ready to dive in when we return in the fall. We have tracking sheets and math fact sheets available to print under Resource Documents in Family Portal.
Additionally, BJU Press also offers a summer workbook called Vacation Station for students going into grades 1 through 6, that offers 2 pages of academics each day (with an answer key). Click on the link to print an order form and turn it in by May 10th. Cost: $15 each.

Elementary Spring Concert
Our 1st – 5th graders are working hard to prepare for our Spring Concert on May 9th at South Baptist Church at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to attend.
Kindergarten Enrollment (K5)
Do you know someone who has a five year old ready for kindergarten? We want to meet families personally and take them on their own tour of the school. New families can go to the GCS website to submit an inquiry for more information https://geneseechristianschool.com/info/#admissions

Middle/High School
JH MACS
The Junior High students competed in a wonderful day last Friday at MACS. The students had worked and had practiced diligently for weeks and scored very well overall! The event this year was held at a new facility that was fantastic for the competition, and the students really enjoyed it and excelled.
These students won in the following categories:
1st place- Jonathan Armbrust- Humorous Interpretation
2nd place- 7th grade Handbell Choir A- “This Little Light of Mine”/ “Joyous Jubilee”
2nd place- Ruari Bledsoe- Oral Interpretation of Poetry
2nd place- Ella Houle- Woodwind Solo (flute)
3rd place- Sam Forsyth- Male Vocal Solo
Bible Project THANK YOU
Thank you to all the GCS families that helped support this year’s Bible project. Many helped with the homecoming baked goods sale, Fun Fridays, ice cream treats, and the famous “Bucks for Bibles” jeans days. Because of you, GCS was able to finish our 27th year strong by putting together 50,000 copies of John and Romans in record time. This brings the total number of Bibles GCS has been a part of to 870,000. You have been a vital part to the gospel being spread throughout the world. Please pray for those in New Zealand who will be receiving this year’s Scriptures.

Spring Concert- May 2
The MS/HS Spring Concert is this Thursday, May 2, at 7:00 pm in the HS Gym. The concert will feature numbers from 6th grade choir, 7th grade choir, band, handbells, and HS choir. Students should wear concert dress and should arrive at 6:30 p.m. Come out and enjoy an evening of music!
Seniors
Please send your Open House information to Mrs. Mein as soon as possible.
Senior testimonies are this Thursday and Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. Parents are welcome to attend.

AP TESTING for Juniors and Seniors – May 8, 9, 23, 24
All AP tests will be taken at GCS. The morning exams begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students should arrive at school by 7:45 a.m. for an 8:00 a.m. exam. Afternoon exams begin promptly at 12:00 p.m. Students MUST not be late or miss school on the day of the exam. These tests are from the College Board and MAY NOT be given at a different time other than what is listed below.
English Literature- Wednesday, May 8, at 8:00 a.m.
Psychology- Thursday, May 9, at noon
Biology- Thursday, May 23, at noon
Calculus- Friday, May 24, at 8:00 a.m.
Athletics
Athletic Physicals
Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have a physical form on file by the first day of practice. This form must be the MHSAA form completed and signed by a physician on or after April 15, 2023. This applies to high school and middle school sports. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.
