Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year 

  • Enrollment is completed online through FACTS Family Portal.  
  • There is a discounted enrollment fee if paid by April 15.
  • Enrollment completed before June 1 ensures a seat in classes.

School Play – Meet Me in St. Louis

Mark your calendars for this year’s production of Meet Me in St. Louis on 

April 18, 19, 20 at 7:00 pm. 

You won’t want to miss this heartwarming play that revolves around the Smith family living in St. Louis in the year leading up to the 1904 World’s Fair. The story follows the Smith children as they navigate the challenges and joys of adolescence, romance, and family life. With mischief and humor along the way, the Smith family learns the importance of cherishing their home, embracing change, and the enduring power of love and family bonds.

*Tickets are $8 each or 5 for $35 and may be purchased ahead of time OR at the door.

 

Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey

Summer Program

Our summer program begins Monday, June 3 at 7:00 am.  If you would like your child to attend this program, please contact the daycare office for information at 810.743.3110 #2 or email Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com.

Daycare/Preschool Enrollment

We are taking applications for the 2024-2025 school year.  If you are interested in enrolling your child in our program, please contact Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com to schedule a tour.

All students 4 years old and younger must enroll through the daycare/preschool program.

Elementary

Guest Principal on Friday

This Friday we have a student guest Principal running the building! Stephen Barnes will be in charge! 

It’s Spring!

Our playground will be muddy for the next several weeks.  Please send boots, extra socks and outerwear with your child to keep them dry.

Elementary Spring Concert

Our 1st – 5th graders are working hard to prepare for our Spring Concert on May 9th at South Baptist Church at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to attend. 

Kindergarten Enrollment (K5) 

Do you know someone who has a five year old ready for kindergarten?  We want to meet families personally and take them on their own tour of the school. New families can go to the GCS website to submit an inquiry for more information https://geneseechristianschool.com/info/#admissions

 

Middle/High School

Yearbooks

Go to https://link.entourageyearbooks.com/my/GCSyearbook2024 to order your 2023 yearbook! The price is $35.00. Yearbooks will be available to purchase through May 1.

Academic Testing

  • PSAT 10 – All 10th graders took the PSAT 10 today.
  • PSAT 9 – All 9th graders will be taking the PSAT 9 tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16. 
  • IOWA Testing –  Students in 6th-8th grades will be participating in the IOWA testing on April 16-17.

*Please do your best to make sure that your students are at school on these important testing dates.

Bible Project – Parent Volunteers Needed – April 24 & 25

Our high school gym will be transformed into a Bible factory on Monday, April 24 -Tuesday, April 25.  The students have been working hard all year to raise money for the printing of 50,000 copies of John and Romans.  We are now ready to assemble them.  We need parent volunteers to help make this final step a success in the morning and afternoon.  If you are willing to come in and help, please contact Mrs. Heath kheath@geneseechristianschool.com. 

 

Please also consider donating to help cover costs for the final expenses to complete the 50,000 copies. Checks can be made payable to Genesee Christian School with Bible Project in the memo and turned in to either school office. 

Student Council

The Student Council is looking for new members to help plan Homecoming, Winter Fest and other fun days throughout the school year.  If your current 6th-11th grader is interested in joining, have them pick up an application in the Student Services Office.

Athletics

 

Athletic Physicals

Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have a physical form on file by the first day of practice. This form must be the MHSAA form completed and signed by a physician on or after April 15, 2023. This applies to high school and middle school sports. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.

Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.
