Lunch Accounts
Please check your Family Portal Finance tab to make sure that your child’s lunch account has a positive balance. Lunch accounts are prepaid. All students ordering school lunch should have a positive balance of at least $5.00 in their lunch account before ordering lunch.
Auction News
Tickets are on sale now for our 17th Annual Auction! Invite friends and family to enjoy a night of fun at the Flint Farmers’ Market on March 14, 2026. Doors open at 6pm. Tickets are required.

The Game Board Competition starts today for both the high school and elementary. Rules and regulations are posted next to the boards and an email will be coming soon. Every donation moves your child’s game piece closer to a grand prize.

Valentine’s Day Orders – Due Friday, February 6th
Support the Senior Class and get something special for your friend, family member or favorite teacher. Orders are due Friday, February 6th. K5 will be receiving their items on Wednesday, February 11. Little Leaders and 1st-5th will receive their items on Thursday, February 12th. Order forms for Elementary students will go home in folders soon! Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey
Preschool Early Dismissal
Preschool will follow the school’s early dismissal schedule as listed above. Daycare will be open until 5:30 on early dismissal days and open a full day on Monday, January 19.
End Of The Year Tax Statements
Please contact Cheryl Britton at cbritton@geneseechristianschool.com if you need a copy of your daycare or latchkey year-end tax statement. Statements will be emailed to the address we have on file. Paper copies are only available upon request.

Athletics
We will be having our annual “Senior Athlete Night” on Friday, January 23rd, right after the Varsity Girls basketball game and before the Varsity Boys warm up. This is a night in which we honor seniors who have participated in Athletics at Genesee Christian in 9th-12th grades.
🌟Acknowledgement forms must be completed and returned to the athletic office by Wednesday, January 14th in order to be included in the program.
We ask that seniors and their escorts assemble in the hall outside of the gym at 6:30 pm. Mrs. Walls will be there to help athletes and their escorts lineup. We will use the art room to keep coats and belongings safe during the event.

Athletic Physicals🩺
For the 2025-26 school year, an MHSAA sports physical is required for all students who participate in sports. A physical examination must be completed on or after April 15, 2025, to be considered a valid physical for 2025-26. – This applies to any students participating in high school and middle school sports.
The MHSAA two-page physical form can be found using this link MHSAA25-26SportsPhysicalForm or it is also available in the school offices.
Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have this physical form on file by the first day of practice. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.
Sports Fee
Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.
