Summer Tutoring
Mrs. Armbrust, a middle school teacher, is offering personalized tutoring in reading, math (through Algebra II), or language/grammar. Summer is the perfect time to review key concepts and receive extra support for upcoming classes. Please contact Michelle Armbrust at marmbrust@geneseechristianschool.com if you are interested in scheduling tutoring.
Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey
End of the Year Celebration
Our annual End of the Year Celebration for K3 and K4 is Thursday, May 28th, at 10am. Join us in the gym to celebrate all of their hard work! Light refreshments will be served afterward in their classrooms.
Daycare Closed
Daycare will be closed Friday, May 29th for training. There will be no AM or PM latchkey.

Latchkey Statements
Please remember to have all latchkey accounts paid in full by the end of the school year. Statements are sent to your email address on file, unless a paper copy is requested. Contact Cheryl Britton at cbritton@geneseechristianschool.com if you have not received any statements or have questions about your account. Failure to make a payment will result in a $25 late fee charge.

Bucks for Bibles
Monday and Tuesday, April 27 and 28 are both Bucks for Bibles dress down days!
Kindergarten Enrollment
Do you know someone who has a five year old ready for Kindergarten in the fall? We want to meet families personally and take them on their own tour of the school. Invite them to fill out an inquiry on our school website to schedule a tour or for more information.
It’s Spring!
Our playground will be muddy for the next several weeks. Please send boots, extra socks and outerwear with your child to keep them dry.
Elementary Spring Concert
Our 1st – 5th graders are working hard to prepare for our Spring Concert on May 1. It will be held at South Baptist Church at 7:00 pm. Please return permission slips for the bus by tomorrow, April 29th.
Teacher Appreciation Week- May 4-8

Middle/High School
Lost & Found
The Lost & Found has been overflowing. Please be sure to collect all items from the locker rooms and hallway areas on a regular basis.
Bible Project – April 27 & 28
Our high school gym has been transformed into a Bible factory for today and tomorrow. The students have been working all year to raise money for the printing of 90,000 copies of John and Romans. We are now ready to assemble them. If you are willing to come in and help, please contact Mrs. Mein at mmein@geneseechristianschool.com.
Please also consider donating to help cover costs for the final expenses to complete the 90,000 copies. Checks can be made payable to Genesee Christian School with “Bible Project” in the memo and turned in to either school office.
*Monday and Tuesday (during the Bible Project) will be Bucks for Bibles days; students may wear jeans to school if they bring $2 each day for the Bible Project.
MS/HS Spring Concert
The MS/HS Spring Concert is this Thursday, April 30, at 7:00 PM in the HS gym. Come enjoy an evening of music presented by our students!
*All 6th grade students, all 7th grade students, strings students, and high school choir members need to attend and should arrive at 6:30 p.m.
*Students should wear concert attire (ladies: black concert dress guys: black pants, white shirt. HS choir guys should wear a tie).

6th & 7th grade Field Trip – Henry Ford Museum – May 13
The 6th & 7th grade students are going to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI, on Wednesday, May 13. We will depart the high school at 8:10 a.m. and return by 3:05 p.m. ALL students will be riding the bus to the museum. Parents may attend and drive down separately; students may ride home with parents.
The cost of the trip is $16. Tickets will be purchased in advance to allow us a quick entrance on the day of the field trip; therefore, all money and permission forms must be turned in on or before Monday, May 4th. AP TESTING for Juniors and Seniors – May 4, 6, 8, 21, 22
All AP tests will be taken at GCS. The morning exams begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students should arrive at school by 7:45 a.m. for an 8:00 a.m. exam. Afternoon exams begin promptly at 12:00 p.m. Students MUST not be late or miss school on the day of the exam. These tests are from the College Board and MAY NOT be given at a different time other than what is listed below.
Biology- Monday, May 4, at 8:00 a.m.
English Literature- Wednesday, May 6, at 8:00 a.m.
U.S. History- Friday, May 8, at 8:00 a.m.
Calculus- Thursday, May 21, at noon
Psychology- Friday, May 22, at noon
Senior Open Houses
Please send the date, time, and location of your senior’s open house to Mrs. Mein at mmein@geneseechristianschool.com. We are compiling a document to give to the seniors with all of the open houses listed. We have shared this document with senior parents to help avoid overlapping dates/times.
Washington DC Trip
Attention all current 8th and 9th graders – it is time to enroll for your upcoming 2027 Washington DC trip. Due to the limited number of seats available, it is very important that you return your completed registration form and deposit as soon as possible.

Sports Fee
Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.
