Genesee Christian School, established in 1974, offers a quality Christian education from kindergarten through 12th grade. Located in mid-Michigan, GCS promotes a competitive curriculum with a Biblical foundation to about 350 students. As a board-operated school, GCS supports Christian families from many local churches while maintaining a distinctively conservative doctrinal approach. GCS is an accredited school (American Association of Christian Schools). GCS accepts F1 International students.
GCS uses traditional teaching methods mixed with technology in order to give our students the best learning environment.

Board Members
Genesee Christian School is an extension of my family and has been a huge blessing in bringing Christlike leaders into my children’s lives during their school years. My experience as a teacher, coach and school principal prepared me for this great privilege to serve in a leadership position at GCS. As the school administrator I serve as a liaison between the board members and the school community. GCS continues to be a valuable ministry in training the next generation of Chrisian servant leaders. My wife and I look forward to many grandchildren becoming future GCS Soldiers!

I serve because I deeply believe in the mission of GCS. The school does an outstanding job of equipping students to love the Lord and to serve Him with their lives. I have seen firsthand the dedication and compassion of the teachers and staff at GCS, which helps create a truly conducive learning environment for every student.
Having spent much of my life in and around Christian education, I believe GCS has achieved a wonderful balance between strong biblical instruction and meaningful real-world preparation. I look forward to serving the parents and families of GCS as we continue striving together to make it an excellent place for students to learn, grow, and thrive.

My wife, Sharon and I both had the privilege of attending GCS thanks to the dedication and sacrifices of our parents and chose to make similar commitments and sacrifices so that our children could both attend GCS. The ministry of Genesee Christian School in training students with an excellent education, based upon Christian principles while developing a Biblical world view is something we have benefitted from in our own lives and we want to see the ministry continue helping families and children for many years to come. I believe that God has blessed me with the opportunity to use my experience and talents to help in the furthering of the ministry and vision of GCS by participating as a board member and I count it an honor to be able to serve the Lord in this position.

GCS has a wonderful heritage of partnering with families and churches in providing a Christ centered environment for educating and training soldiers for Jesus Christ. I joined the GCS Board at a time of transition and wanted to contribute in any way I could to help GCS stay focused on its mission. God has used this ministry to have an eternal impact on many families and students over its history.

Growing up in a family of educators gave me a deep appreciation for the impact Christian schools can have on students. Although I am not a teacher myself, I provide IT support services to several schools. When the opportunity arose to assist Genesee Christian School, I was eager to get involved. Serving on the board is another meaningful way for me to contribute to the school and its mission.
