Our middle school curriculum provides a comprehensive course of study that prepares students for the rigors of high school while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and responsibility. Students receive daily instruction in core academic subjects, including:
- Bible
- English / Language Arts
- Mathematics
- Science
- History / Social Studies
- Physical Education
Each subject is taught from a biblical worldview and supported by traditional instruction enhanced with technology. Our goal is to promote strong study habits, critical thinking skills, effective communication, and a love for learning.
In addition to core academics, middle school students participate in a variety of enrichment classes that allow them to explore interests and develop practical skills. These opportunities include:
- Foreign Language
- Graphic Design and technology-based learning
- Fine Arts, including band, drama, and competition performance
- Robotics and other hands-on learning experiences
Through these courses, students develop creativity, collaboration, leadership, and problem-solving skills while discovering new passions and talents.
Middle school students participate in annual standardized testing to measure academic progress and ensure continued growth. These assessments help teachers tailor instruction to meet individual student needs and maintain the high academic standards that are a hallmark of Genesee Christian School.
- Learning extends beyond the classroom through educational field trips, academic competitions, and service opportunities. Students regularly participate in Christian school fine arts and academic competitions that provide real-world application of classroom learning and encourage them to use their talents for the glory of God.Highlights of the year include:
- Participation in the MACS essay competition
- Annual Service Day
- Ministry opportunities such as singing at local nursing homes
- Fine arts and academic competitions
These experiences foster responsibility, compassion, teamwork, and confidence as students apply what they are learning in meaningful ways.
Middle and high school are about more than academics—they’re a vibrant, Christ-centered experience where students grow in faith, friendships, leadership, and school spirit.
Student life is full of energy and community-building experiences, including:
- Spirit Week – themed dress days, pep rallies, and friendly competition
- Homecoming celebrations
- WinterFest – a week of fellowship, activities, and school unity
Every event is designed to help students grow spiritually, socially, and personally—preparing them for a lifetime of faith, character, and purpose.
Chapel is the heart of student life. Students gather regularly for worship, biblical teaching, and encouragement in their walk with Christ, with opportunities for student leadership and messages from local pastors and college representatives.
At Genesee Christian School, we believe learning goes beyond the classroom. Our extracurricular programs offer students ways to explore interests, develop talents, and grow in leadership and faith. These activities complement our academic and spiritual focus and help students build confidence, teamwork, and real‑world skills.
Robotics – Cyber Soldiers
Our robotics program, known as the Cyber Soldiers, gives students in grades 6–12 the chance to design, build, and compete with robots in real STEM challenges. Students develop technical skills, problem‑solving abilities, and teamwork while preparing for regional and national competition opportunities.
Student Council
Our Student Council empowers students to lead and serve their peers by planning activities, representing student voice, and fostering school spirit throughout the year. Council members gain experience in leadership, event planning, communication, and teamwork—all grounded in our Christian community.
Students who participate in extracurriculars at GCS often find new passions, develop lifelong friendships, and grow in confidence while serving and leading within our Christ‑centered environment.
