Daycare & Little Leaders Program at Genesee Christian School

Ages Infancy to 12 years old.

Little Leaders is a fully licensed Preschool and Daycare program. We are an extension of Genesee Christian school, partnering with you as a family in setting the foundation to instill a love for learning, a love for others, and a love for God. Our staff strives to teach the children academically, socially, physically, and spiritually.

Where Little Hearts Grow in Faith and Learning

Our Daycare program provides a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment where our youngest learners begin their educational journey. We welcome children starting at infancy, helping them grow through hands-on learning, loving care, and purposeful play.

At this foundational age, we focus on:

  • Developing Christlike character
  • Building early social and academic skills
  • Learning God’s Truth through Bible stories, songs, and daily routines
  • Encouraging curiosity, creativity, and independence

Each day is thoughtfully structured to support spiritual, emotional, and cognitive development while helping children feel secure, valued, and loved.

Our Little Leaders Preschool classrooms prepare preschool-aged children for kindergarten by introducing:

  • Early literacy and math readiness

  • Fine and gross motor development

  • Classroom routines and cooperation

  • Biblical principles woven into everyday learning

     

Students gain confidence as they learn to lead, serve, and interact with others in positive, meaningful ways.

Our Infant and Toddler Program focuses on:

  • Language Developement

  • Social and Emotional Developement

  • Fine Motor Skills

  • Cognitive Developement

  • Engagement: Fostering positive relationships with teachers and peers.

  • Independence: Allowing them to make choices and take responsibility for their actions.

  • Fine and Gross motor skills: Incorporating activities that promote writing skills and coordination.

  • Language Development and Learning Skills: Focusing on social, emotional, cognitive skills.

  • Early Literacy Skills: Recognize and name uppercase and lowercase letters. Identify letter sounds and beginning sounds in words. Develop writing skills.  Participate in shared reading activities.

  • Early Math Skills: Recognize numbers and count objects.Understand basic concepts such as more/less, same/different, and patterns. Begin simple sorting, classifying, and measuring activities.

  • Cognitive & Problem-Solving Skills: Follow routines and understand sequencing. Ask questions and explore how things work.

  • Self-Help & Independence: Follow daily routines and classroom expectations. Take responsibility for personal belongings. Practice personal care skills.

  • Kindergarten Readiness: Build attention and listening skills. Work independently and in small groups. Follow classroom routines and transitions. Develop a positive attitude toward learning and school.

  • We also offer before- and after-school latchkey for children through 12 years of age, providing:

    • A supervised, caring environment

    • Homework time and quiet activities

    • Opportunities for play and fellowship

    This program supports families with flexible, reliable care while maintaining the same Christ-centered values found throughout our school.
