End Of The Year Tax Statements

Please contact Cheryl Britton at cbritton@geneseechristianschool.com if you need a copy of your daycare or latchkey year-end tax statement.  Statements will be emailed to the address we have on file.  Paper copies are only available upon request.

 

Elementary

 

Elementary MACS Fine Arts Competition

Our 4th and 5th grade students will be participating in the Elementary MACS Fine Arts Competition this Friday, February 27. It will be held at Bethany Christian School in Troy. Students who are riding with staff to MACS must be at the elementary by 7:10 a.m. to be counted and loaded. All students will meet at Bethany Christian in Room 205 at 8:15 a.m. Our 4th and 5th grade choir will perform at 9:15 a.m. The students should be in concert dress. There is a spectator fee of $5 per person at the door. Spectators: please dress business casual. Come and support our talented Soldiers!

Kindergarten Enrollment 

Do you know someone who has a five year old ready for Kindergarten in the fall?  We want to meet families personally and take them on their own tour of the school.  Invite them to call and schedule a tour or go to the school website to submit an inquiry for more information.

Middle/High School

Pastors’ Luncheon for Middle and High School 

We are grateful for our pastors! On Thursday, February 26, we’ll honor them at our annual Pastors’ Luncheon. Each church should have received an invitation recently, and your student(s) received one to hand deliver to their pastor this past week also. Please encourage your child to personally invite their pastor, as a personal request feels more meaningful than a letter. We hope all our churches will join us in showing appreciation for our pastors on this special day!

6th Grade-MACS Fine Arts Competition

MACS competition for those in 4th-6th grade is this Friday!  It will be held at Bethany Christian School in Troy. ALL 6th grade students need to be at the HS building by 7:40 am!  (MTA riders may not ride the bus in the morning) Please remember to wear concert dress. 

*The GCS bus will be returning from the event to GCS by approximately 2:45 pm so students will be able to ride the MTA buses home if needed.  *There is a spectator fee of $5 per person at the door- cash and digital payment is accepted. Spectators: please dress business casual. Come and support our talented Soldiers!

Athletic Physicals🩺

For the 2025-26 school year, an MHSAA sports physical is required for all students who participate in sports. A physical examination must be completed on or after April 15, 2025, to be considered a valid physical for 2025-26. – This applies to any students participating in high school and middle school sports. 

The MHSAA two-page physical form can be found using this link MHSAA25-26SportsPhysicalForm or  it is also available in the school offices.

 

Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have this physical form on file by the first day of practice. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.

      

Sports Fee

Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.

🏀Varsity Boys Basketball

District play begins this week @ Everest. 

  • Game Time: Feb 25, 2026 at 5:30 PM @ Everest Collegiate HS (5935 Clarkston Road, Clarkston)
  • Parking: There is limited parking in the rear and side of the high school, but plenty of parking in the front of both the high school and academy.

⚽️HS Girls Soccer:

Coach Chapman will be hosting a girls soccer open gym this Saturday, Feb.28th from 8am-10am in the HS Gym.

 

⚾️HS Baseball Open Gym Workouts: 

Coach Payne will be hosting a baseball open gym this Saturday, Feb. 28th from 7pm-9pm in HS Gym.

If your student is planning to participate in spring girls or boys soccer, boys baseball or boys golf, please make sure they have turned in a completed MHSAA sports physical signed by a physician dated on or after April 15, 2025. Current physicals are required on file before coming to first practice.
