  (MTA bus will be running on early dismissal days)

Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey

 

Preschool Early Dismissal

Preschool will follow the school’s early dismissal schedule as listed above.  Daycare will be open until 5:30 on early dismissal days and open a full day on Monday, January 19.

Bucks for Bibles Day – Friday, January 9

The next Bucks for Bibles day is scheduled for this Friday. Elementary students may bring a dollar to wear athletic pants and t-shirts.

Early Dismissal

Elementary Family Fellowship

Plan to join us January 22 for an afternoon or evening of fellowship as we look forward to the new semester. More information will be sent about times soon.

Winter Outerwear

The weather outside is cold.  Please send your child to school every day with boots, snow pants, coats, hats and warm gloves.  Please label all outerwear. The school does not provide “in case you forgot” extras. Students need the fresh air and movement breaks. Unless the wind chill or temperature is too low, we WILL be going outside!

MS/HS Lunch Changes

Lunch prices at the MS/HS are increasing slightly due to rising costs. For more information visit the website or view the January lunch calendar here: January HS Lunch Menu

As a reminder, please make sure that your lunch account on Family Portal has a positive balance of at least $5. 

Bucks for Bibles- Friday, January 9

The next Bucks for Bibles day is scheduled for this Friday. Bring $1 or more to wear school-approved jeans. This is a fundraiser for our Bible project.

Athletic Physicals🩺

For the 2025-26 school year, an MHSAA sports physical is required for all students who participate in sports. A physical examination must be completed on or after April 15, 2025 to be considered a valid physical for 2025-26. – This applies to any students participating in high school and middle school sports. 

The MHSAA two-page physical form can be found using this link MHSAA25-26SportsPhysicalForm or  it is also available in the school offices.

 

Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have this physical form on file by the first day of practice. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.

      

Sports Fee

Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.

 ➽➽Varsity – $150.00   ➽➽JV – $125.00  ➽➽  Junior High – $100.00   ➽➽  Jet League – $50.00

🏀HS Basketball: L👀King Ahead

Away Games- Tuesday, January 6th:  JV Boys / Varsity Boys & Varsity Girls Basketball Teams will have early dismissals with bus transportation. All players are required to ride the bus as a team to the game.  Please check the Winter Athletic Schedule for more details

The Athletic department appreciates your help in making our Home Games a success.

Our Soldiers need volunteers for the admissions table and game clock. 

Bonus: your immediate family gets into the games for free that night! 

        

Time to Return Uniforms Soon:

🏀JH Girls Basketball Program: 

  • Please note that washed / clean uniforms will be due Tuesday, January 6th. Receiving them back in a timely manner is important.  We appreciate your promptness. 

🏀JH Boys Basketball Program: 

  • Practices begin today, January 5th.  Most practices: 7th Grade Team will practice @ South Baptist Church from 3:30-5:30 & 8th Grade Team will practice @ North Baptist Church from 3:30-5:30.

  • Both Teams have a scrimmage scheduled for Monday, 1/12 at GCS.  7th grade plays @ 5:30pm & 8th grade plays at 6:30pm

🏀5th & 6th Grade Boys Jet League Basketball Program: 

  • Practices will begin in January. 
  • 5th Grade Team: practices are Mondays & Thursdays from 3:30-5:00 at the elementary gym.
  • 6th Grade Team:  practices are Tuesdays & Fridays from 3:30-5:00 at the elementary gym.
