Auction News

We need YOUR help to make the GCS Benefit Auction a success! PLEASE invite grandparents, friends, family, and fellow GCS families to join your table on March 16 at Genesys Banquet Center.

We are still in need of many items for the auction, so we’ve extended the donation deadline to Monday, March 4th! Thank you to the families who have brought in auction items already. GCS Dodgeball Tournament – THIS Saturday, March 2nd

Dodgeball Tournament is this Saturday at the HS Gym from 3pm-5pm. All players need to turn in the attached form signed by a parent or guardian giving permission to play. $5 per player entry fee may be turned in to the office this week or you can pay on Saturday. See you there for some dodgeball fun!!

Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey

 

AM & PM Latchkey Charges

Please remember that if you drop off your child before 7:45 am or pick them up after 3:15 pm, they will be placed in daycare and charged a latchkey fee.  Children arriving between 7:45 – 8 am will go to the gym, free of charge.  Please contact Mrs. Britton at cbritton@geneseechristianschool.com or refer to the Daycare Handbook for more information.

Daycare/Preschool Enrollment

We are taking applications for the 2024-2025 school year.  If you are interested in enrolling your child in our program, please contact Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com to schedule a tour.

All students 4 years old and younger must enroll through the daycare/preschool program.

Latchkey Snacks

We are offering a variety of snacks for your child to purchase while they are in PM Latchkey.  Latchkey 

snack tickets are available at $15 each.

Good Friday- Daycare Closed

The daycare will be closed Friday, March 29 for Good Friday.  

Elementary

March is Reading Month

We love to celebrate reading! Help us to kick off this month with Dr. Seuss Day on Friday, March 1. Look for more fun ways to celebrate in your classroom newsletter. 

Lego Robotics–3rd and 4th grade

Join us on Tuesdays from 3:00-4:30 for Robotics Club! Parents are encouraged to come and participate in the fun! It’s amazing what you can do with Legos.

Kindergarten Enrollment (K5)

6th grade at Elementary MACS

Our sixth grade Soldiers had a very successful and wonderful day at the MACS Fine Arts Competition last Friday! It was a blessing to see these young people use their talents to compete in the event and to sharpen their skills to serve the Lord! Thank you for all of your hard work!

Athletic Physicals

Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have a physical form on file by the first day of practice. This form must be the MHSAA form completed and signed by a physician on or after April 15, 2023. This applies to high school and middle school sports. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.

Sports Fee

Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.

Boys Basketball Districts Begin This Week🏀

Boys basketball will begin District play Wednesday, February 28th at Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes High School (5495 Dixie Hwy, Waterford Twp, MI 48329).  Game Time is 7:00pm.  A win advances us to the Championship game on Thursday, Feb. 29th at Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes HS – 7:00pm.  Admission tickets will be $7 per person and only available for purchase through GoFan; search for Genesee Christian School to purchase tickets.  No cash or cards can be accepted at the door. A full concession stand will be available, outside food will not be allowed in the building.

JV Boys Basketball Uniform Return: Uniforms should be washed and returned within one week of the last game/competition.  Please return your uniform to the GCS athletic office by Thursday, February 29th to avoid a $5 restocking fee.  We appreciate your promptness!
