School Closing Procedures
In the event of an emergency school closing GCS will notify parents via email and the following television stations:

(MTA bus will be running on early dismissal days)
Auction News
Parents, please check your email for an important note about the auction. We will have a GIFT CARD BLAST for the month of January. Every student/family that brings in a gift card ($10 value or higher, please) will be entered into a drawing for a special prize. To be entered into this drawing bring in your gift card by January 31st! Thank you in advance for helping make this event a success!

Sign In Changes
We are pleased to announce that our daycare and latchkey sign-in process will be changing! Parents will be able to sign their children in and out through the ProCare app on their phone. Please be sure to download the app to use this feature. More information will be announced soon.
Latchkey
All latchkey statements will be sent to the email address that we have on file. If you are not receiving statements, please contact Cheryl Britton at cbritton@geneseechristianschool.com. Paper copies are available upon request.
Tax Season – Day Care Statements
If you would like a copy of your 2024 daycare statement, please email Cheryl Britton at cbritton@geneseechristianschool.com and request a copy. Statements will be issued on a first come first served basis, and will be emailed directly to you. Paper copies will be available upon request. Accounts can also be viewed on ProCare.
Elementary
Bucks for Bibles
Friday, January 10th is the next Bucks for Bibles day. Students can bring in $1 or more to wear athletic pants (no leggings). All proceeds go to the GCS Bible Project.

Elementary Family Fellowship
Plan to join us January 23 for an afternoon or evening of fellowship as we look forward to the new semester. More information will be sent about times soon.
Winter Outerwear
The weather outside is cold. Please send your child to school every day with boots, snow pants, coats, hats and heavy gloves. Please label all outerwear. Unless the wind chill or temperature is too low we WILL be going outside!
Boys Jet League Basketball
Boys Jet League Practices begin this week.:
*5/6th Grade Team will practice Mon & Thur from 3:30-5:00 @ Elementary Gym
*4th Grade Team will practice Tue & Fri from: 3:30-4:45 @ Elementary Gym.

Bucks for Bibles Day
Friday, January 10th will be a Bucks for Bibles day. Students are allowed to wear school appropriate jeans for $1.00. All proceeds will go towards the GCS Bible Project.
Washington DC Trip
All trip payments must be paid in full by Wednesday, January 15.

Robotics Team Opportunity
The 2025 FIRST Robotics Season has officially started with the game revel of “Reef Scape”. The Cyber Soldiers are in need of some additional students. Athletics
Athletic Physicals🩺
Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have a physical form on file by the first day of practice. This form must be the MHSAA form completed and signed by a physician on or after April 15, 2024. This applies to high school and middle school sports. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.
Physical forms are TWO pages – access using link: MHSAA24-25PhysicalForm or pick up @ the HS office.
Sports Fee
Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per athlete/per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.
