Shoebox Chapel

Our students have been packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child the past few years. We have the exciting privilege to hear from an Operation Christmas Child shoebox recipient next Tuesday, September 10th in a special Chapel. Also, now is the time of the year to snag discount school supplies, if you can help. More information to come!

Parenting Seminar Coming Soon!

Starting Tuesday, September 10 from 8:15-9:45 a.m. there will be a 6 week parenting class in the MS/HS cafeteria. Please check your email for more information. Limited spots are available. Use the QR code in your email to sign up.

Homecoming Help

The Elementary will be selling popcorn and slush at the Homecoming event. We need parent volunteers to help run concessions. Please email Mrs. Arnst at jarnst@geneseechristianschool.com or call the office to sign up!

4th/5th/6th Grade Girls Basketball Program:

The coordinator of the Jet League Basketball program is hoping to have a girls 4th, 5th & 6th grade fall program this year. This is an entry-level league that teaches the girls the fundamentals of the game through volunteer coaches. Everyone gets a chance to play.

All games are played on Saturday mornings, with each game taking an hour to play. There will be a total of 8 games. All teams will play 1-2 games each Saturday spanning eight weeks. The first date of the play will be October 5th. League games will be played in the 8:00 am-3:00 pm time block each week.

Picture Day

Wednesday, September 11th is picture day. Order forms went home last week.

Senior Pictures Taken Here – Wednesday, September 11th

Photo Factory is coming to the school on September 11th to take yearbook pictures for our Senior Class. The ENTIRE class will have a school picture taken (at no cost) to be used in the yearbook. Additional copies will be available for purchase through Photo Factory.

PLEASE NOTE: Girls will need to wear a nice, modest blouse for their picture and boys will need to wear a collared shirt and tie.

Pick up and Drop off – different in the morning and afternoon
Students may be dropped off at the Cafeteria entrance as early as 7:30 am. (students must remain in the Cafeteria until 7:45). Students may be dropped off at the center doors in the morning starting at 7:45 am. Students should be picked up by 3:30 pm at the Cafeteria end (north lot) of the building. The center doors are reserved for MTA bus riders at the end of the day.

Impact Camp – 11th & 12th Grade – September 4-6

The Juniors and Seniors will be attending the school “Impact Camp” from Sept. 4th –6th at Camp CoBeAc. Please be in prayer for our students and staff during these important spiritual and unity building days.

Mackinaw Trip – 7th Grade – September 4-6

All trip participants need to arrive Wednesday (9/4), at 5:45 a.m. at the school. If you have questions about about the trip, please contact Mrs. Katie Heath at kheath@geneseechristianschool.com.

Washington DC Trip – 9th-10th Grade – March 24-28

Reminder – the next payment for the DC trip is due October 10. Each participant will owe $200 at that time. If you have questions about your remaining balance, joining the trip, or about the trip in general, please contact Mrs. Katie Heath at kheath@geneseechristianschool.com.

Homecoming – September 27th

The Student Council is working hard to plan dress days, 8th hour activities and more. Stay tuned for details!

We need convertibles for the Homecoming Court for our halftime presentation. Please contact marmbrust@geneseechristianschool.com if you are able to help with this need.

Athletic Physicals🩺

Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have a physical form on file by the first day of practice. This form must be the MHSAA form completed and signed by a physician on or after April 15, 2024. This applies to high school and middle school sports. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.
