Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year
- Enrollment is completed online through FACTS Family Portal.
- Enrollment completed before June 1 ensures a seat in classes.
- Enrollment June 1 and after will incur a late fee of $25 per student.
Report Cards & Iowa Testing Scores
Student report cards will be mailed June 13. Iowa Testing reports for grades 6th-8th will be included with report cards. Elementary Iowa Testing results will be shared with parents at the end of the year assembly, May 31.
Lunch Accounts
Parents, please check your Lunch account balance in Family Portal (under the Family tab). If your account has a balance of less than $5 please pay the balance or add money to the account as soon as possible (through Family Portal or send in cash/check). All credits will be held in your Lunch account for use during the 2024-2025 school year. Thank you!
Vaccinations – 2024-25 School Year.
Attention all UPCOMING K5, 7th grade and NEW students
According to the State of Michigan all transfer, Kindergarten and 7th grade students must have all their vaccinations up-to-date or a certified State of Michigan Immunization Waiver Form from the county health department on file. K5 students must have a dental form on file as well. Please submit a copy of your child’s updated vaccinations to the school office as soon as possible. If you choose not to receive some (or all) of your child’s vaccinations, you will need to obtain a certified State of Michigan Immunization Waiver Form from your county health department. Please turn in this form to the school office. You may do this during the summer (High School Administration Office). Vaccinations for the above groups are reported to the MI Health Department at the beginning of each year. Any questions, please contact gcs@geneseechristianschool.com
Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey
Preschool Celebration
Our End of the Year Celebration will be May 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the gym. We will have a short program with light refreshments afterwards. Please sign up in the K3 room!
Daycare Closed May 31st
Daycare will be closed for staff training May 31. AM Latchkey is only available upon request. Please contact Mrs. Kubczak kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com if you need AM latchkey that day.
Summer Program
Our summer program begins Monday, June 3, at 7:00 a.m. If you would like your child to attend this program, please contact the daycare office for information at 810.743.3110 #2 or email Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com. If you have already received a summer contract, please return it to the office as soon as possible.
Daycare/Preschool Enrollment
We are taking applications for the 2024-2025 school year. If you are interested in enrolling your child in our program, please contact Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com to schedule a tour.
All students 4 years old and younger must enroll through the daycare/preschool program.

Bucks for Bibles
Our last Bucks for Bibles is this Friday, May 17.
Summer Math and Reading Program
Each spring we encourage students to stay sharp on math and reading skills over the summer so they are ready to dive in when we return in the fall. We have tracking sheets and math fact sheets available to print under Resource Documents in Family Portal. The Vacation Station order has been placed for those who turned in money. They should be delivered before school is out. Students who participate during the summer and turn in the completed forms get to go on a picnic in the spring with Mrs. Arnst.
Kindergarten Enrollment (K5)
Do you know someone who has a five year old ready for kindergarten? We want to meet families personally and take them on their own tour of the school. New families can go to the GCS website to submit an inquiry for more information https://geneseechristianschool.com/info/#admissions

Robotics Camp
Students entering 4th and 5th grade who will be participating in Lego Robotics during the year are invited to JUMP IN for summer camp Aug 6-8, 8:30-12:00. We will be SUBMERGED in the planning and learning about our mission for the year! Sign up coming soon.

Middle/High School
Bucks for Bibles
The last Bucks for Bibles day for this school year is this Friday, May 17. Students may pay a dollar to wear school-appropriate jeans to support the Bible project.
AP TESTING for Juniors and Seniors –
All AP tests will be taken at GCS. The morning exams begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students should arrive at school by 7:45 a.m. for an 8:00 a.m. exam. Afternoon exams begin promptly at 12:00 p.m. Students MUST not be late or miss school on the day of the exam. These tests are from the College Board and MAY NOT be given at a different time other than what is listed below.
Biology- Thursday, May 23, at noon
Calculus- Friday, May 24, at 8:00 a.m.
Scheduling 2024/2025 – Online Course Requests Open Until May 30
Course Requests for students are open on Family Portal and Student Portal. Mrs. Mein has met with students in grades 6th-11th to choose classes for the upcoming school year. You may make changes through May 30th. Please contact Mrs. Mein (mmein@geneseechristianschool.com) if you have questions about your schedule/courses for next year.
Henry Ford Trip
The 6th and 7th graders will be going to the Henry Ford Museum THIS WEDNESDAY! Students need to be at the school by 7:45 a.m. to load the bus. Everyone needs to bring a sack lunch. Students should wear school-appropriate jeans and a GCS t-shirt.
Seniors – Upcoming Events

- June 3 – Diplomas are available. Diplomas must be picked up in the office. ALL uniforms must be returned and bills/fees paid prior to the diploma being released.
Seniors
If you need an official transcript sent to a college/university/foundation please go to https://geneseechristianschool.com/resources/#_transcriptrequests (you will need to scroll down the page until you see the Transcript Request button) to submit your request through Parchment. All transcript requests must be submitted through Parchment.
ACT & SAT scores are listed on the transcript, but must be sent from the College Board to a college or university. GCS cannot order testing scores for students. Students will need to log in to their College Board account to order those results and send them to the college or university of their choice. AP scores may also be ordered from the College Board site. Class of 2024 make sure that you request a “final transcript” to be sent to your college of choice (see instructions above). Transcripts are only sent to a college or university when you have requested it – this is not “automatically” done for you.
Awards Assembly for MS/HS – May 28
The end of year Awards Assembly will take place on Tuesday, May 28. Middle School assembly (6-8) will be from 2:25-3:05 and High School assembly (9-11) will be from 1:40-2:20 (HS Cafeteria).

Sports Fee
Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.

Fall Sport Sign Ups:
Sign Up sheets for fall sports will be inside the athletic office this week and next. Sign up if you are interested in participating in JH Girls Volleyball, HS Girls Volleyball, JH Boys Soccer, HS Boys Soccer, JH and HS Cross Country.

Athletic Physicals
For the 2024-25 school year, an MHSAA sports physical is required for all students who participate in sports. A physical examination must be completed on or after April 15, 2024, to be considered a valid physical for 2024-25. This applies to any students participating in high school (9th-12th grade) and middle school (7th-8th grade) sports. The MHSAA two-page physical form can be found using this link.
