Bucks For Bibles and Bible Project 

Monday and Tuesday (4/22-4/23) this week are special Bucks for Bibles days to support the Bearing Precious Seeds Bible Project. Bring in $1 or more to wear school approved jeans (MS/HS).  Elementary students may wear jeans or athletic pants.

Scrip

The next Scrip order date will be Tuesday, May 7. This will be the last order for physical cards for the school year. There will be one summer order for physical cards. Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey

Summer Program

Our summer program begins Monday, June 3 at 7:00 am.  If you would like your child to attend this program, please contact the daycare office for information at 810.743.3110 #2 or email Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com.

Daycare/Preschool Enrollment

We are taking applications for the 2024-2025 school year.  If you are interested in enrolling your child in our program, please contact Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com to schedule a tour.

All students 4 years old and younger must enroll through the daycare/preschool program.

Elementary

Guest Principal on Wednesday 

This Wednesday we have a student guest Principal running the building! Alora Hartwig will be in charge! She has declared it a dress down day for elementary students and “Bring a stuffed animal day”.  We will also be serving slush in the afternoon! Come get a slush from Alora! 

It’s Spring!

Our playground will be muddy for the next several weeks.  Please send boots, extra socks and outerwear with your child to keep them dry.

Active Schools Challenge Award!

Next Monday, April 29th, we will be awarded our prize for 2nd place! Wear your school spirit wear for our picture!

Dress Code Reminder

Parents of girls, please be mindful as students have grown that dresses still need to come to the top of the knee. 

Elementary Spring Concert

Our 1st – 5th graders are working hard to prepare for our Spring Concert on May 9th at South Baptist Church at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to attend. 

Kindergarten Enrollment (K5) 

Do you know someone who has a five year old ready for kindergarten?  We want to meet families personally and take them on their own tour of the school. New families can go to the GCS website to submit an inquiry for more information https://geneseechristianschool.com/info/#admissions

Permission slips were due today!

JH MACS is THIS Friday, April 26th. The event is held this year at Faith Christian School in Clinton Township: 34950 Little Mack Ave., Clinton Twp, 48035

Students must wear concert dress. 

Meet at the HS cafeteria by 7:50am! ALL students MUST ride the bus in the morning. No students will be able to ride the MTA bus home from school that day; please make other transportation arrangements. Refer to the emailed schedule and MACS reminder for detailed information.

Student Council – Application Due by Wednesday, April 24

The Student Council is looking for new members to help plan Homecoming, Winter Fest and other fun days throughout the school year.  If your current 6th-11th grader is interested in joining, have them pick up an application in the Student Services Office.  All applications are due by Wednesday, April 24.

 

Honor Society Induction – Thursday, April 25 

There will be an induction ceremony for the new Honor Society members on Thursday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.  This is a time change due to baseball’s early game dismissal.  Please let Mrs. Heath know how many from your family will be able to attend.

 

Fun Friday, April 26

GCS is starting to raise funds for next school year’s Bible project.  Mrs. Heath will be selling Root Beer Floats, Vernors Floats and Ice Cream Sundaes on Friday, April 26 during lunch.

Junior Senior Banquet- April 27 

The Junior/Senior Banquet is this Saturday, April 27th, at Genesys Banquet & Conference Center.

Yearbooks

Spring Concert- May 2 

The MS/HS Spring Concert is next Thursday, May 2, at 7:00 pm in the HS Gym.  The concert will feature numbers from 6th grade choir, 7th grade choir, band, handbells, and HS choir.  Come out and enjoy an evening of music!

Athletic Physicals

Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have a physical form on file by the first day of practice. This form must be the MHSAA form completed and signed by a physician on or after April 15, 2023. This applies to high school and middle school sports. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.
