Report Cards
Report Cards for the MS/HS will go home today.
Honor Roll list for 3rd quarter is attached.
Enrollment for the 2023-2024 school year – ENROLL this week!
- Enrollment completed from March 1 – June 1 ensures a seat in classes.
- There is a discounted enrollment fee if paid by April 17.

| Spring Play – The GCS drama department will present Our Town on April 20, 21, 22 at 7:00 pm in the high school gymnasium. First performed in 1938, Our Town by Thornton Wilder is a beautiful tribute to small town life and the importance of appreciating every day. It showcases the simple things in life, and it allows the audience members to experience their childhood and life milestones anew. Tickets are $8 each or 5 for $35. Tickets are available in the school office or they may be purchased at the door. |
Post Auction Sale!
There are a few items left from our auction that are still available for purchase through the BidPal website http://bidpal.net/gcsauction23. Bidding is open on these items NOW and will close Wednesday, April 19 at 10:30PM. Please note that items will need to be picked up at the elementary or high school buildings. Raise Your Paddle Donations are still welcome! Thank you again for helping to make this year’s auction a great success!

Summer Inquiry Forms
Summer is right around the corner! We have a lot of fun things planned for our summer program. Summer inquiry forms are being sent home on Monday, April 10 in folders. Please sign and return to the daycare.
Spare Clothes
Please bring in a spare set of clothes and boots. The playground is muddy!
Latchkey Snacks
Afternoon latchkey has several snack options that are available for purchase at $.50 each. Your child may also purchase a $10 snack ticket through the daycare.

Elementary
IOWA Testing
K5 through 5th grade students will be taking Iowa Tests this week. Please make sure your child has a good breakfast and arrives at school on time.
Please USE front Doors ONLY in the a.m.
We will no longer be allowing students to enter through the GYM DOORS in the morning. Please use the front drop off line or walk your child (all of the way) to the front doors.
It’s Spring!
Our playground will be muddy for the next several weeks. Please send boots, extra socks and outerwear with your child to keep them dry.
Congratulations!
During the month of March our Elementary students participated in the Active Schools Challenge. The results are in and Genesee Christian came in 2nd place with 449 average daily minutes! Mrs. Forsyth will receive $600 for new gym equipment. Thank you Mrs. Forsyth and our GCS parents for recording times and keeping your kids motivated. Great job staying fit elementary students!
Four Year Old Students (K4)
Do you have a four year old that is ready for the classroom? In our K4 classroom we offer two full days of instruction along with gym, art, music and Spanish that encourages children to learn and grow. This is an excellent opportunity for students to become acclimated to a classroom setting. Call to schedule a tour or go to the school website to submit an inquiry for more information.
Kindergarten Enrollment (K5)
Do you know someone who has a five year old ready for Kindergarten? We want to meet families personally and take them on their own tour of the school. Invite them to call and schedule a tour, or go to the school website to submit an inquiry for more information.

Middle/High School
SAT Testing for 11th grade – April 11, 12, 13 -MME (ACT Work keys, SAT, M-Step) for 11th grade
11th grade students will be taking the SAT testing suite starting on April 11th. Juniors, please be in attendance all three days. Students may not arrive late on testing dates.
PSAT Testing for 9th & 10th
The 10th graders will be taking the PSAT 10 on Monday, April 17th. The 9th graders will be taking the PSAT 9 on Tuesday, April 18th. Please be sure that your student is in attendance on the day of their test. Students may not arrive late on testing dates.
6th-8th grades IOWA Testing
The 6th-8th grade students will be taking the Iowa and CogAT tests next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (April 18-20). It is very important that the students are in attendance and that they arrive at school on time.
Mackinaw Trip – May 2023 – Final Payment Due
Final payment for the Spring 2023 Mackinaw trip is due April 14, 2023. Please check Family Portal (FACTS SIS) for your final balance due.

Student Council
The Student Council is looking for new members to help plan Homecoming, Winter Fest and other fun days throughout the school year. If your current 6th-11th grader is interested in joining, have them pick up an application in the Student Services Office.
Bible Project

- Our high school gym will be transformed into a Bible factory on Monday, April 24 -Tuesday, April 25. The students have been working hard all year to raise money for the printing of 50,000 copies of John and Romans. We are now ready to assemble them. We need parent volunteers to help make this final step a success in the morning and afternoon. If you are willing to come in and help, please contact Mrs. Heath kheath@geneseechristianschool.com.
