Enrollment for the 2024-2025 School Year Is Open

* Enrollment note: The parent that receives the email for re-enrollment should be the first parent listed on the enrollment packet. This will reduce confusion and issues on the tuition side of FACTS. Please contact the administrative office if the wrong parent is listed as enrollment responsible. 

 

Culver’s Fundraiser- TODAY 

Support the Varsity Girls Soccer team at Culver’s in Davison today until 10pm. Get a flyer from either school office and present it to the cashier to have a percentage of the sale from your meal go towards this fundraiser. Funds raised will go towards getting new uniforms. Go Soldiers!

 

School Play – Meet Me in St. Louis

Mark your calendars for this year’s production of Meet Me in St. Louis on 

April 18, 19, 20 at 7:00 pm. 

You won’t want to miss this heartwarming play that revolves around the Smith family living in St. Louis in the year leading up to the 1904 World’s Fair. The story follows the Smith children as they navigate the challenges and joys of adolescence, romance, and family life. With mischief and humor along the way, the Smith family learns the importance of cherishing their home, embracing change, and the enduring power of love and family bonds.

*Tickets are $8 each or 5 for $35 and may be purchased ahead of time OR at the door.

 

GCS Family Fun Day- April 13

Join us Saturday April 13 from 10am-12pm for a GCS only event at Rollhaven.

Skaters– $10, Skate/Blade rental- $5 Adult spectators– Free

Bounce house for littles– $3 Laser tag– $5 per game

We would love to see you there and we look forward to spending the morning with our GCS family!

A portion of the money raised goes towards the Class of 2024 senior trip.

Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey

 

AM & PM Latchkey Reminders

Please remember that if you drop off your child before 7:45 am or pick them up after 3:15 pm, they will be placed in daycare and incur a latchkey fee.  Children arriving between 7:45 – 8:00 am will go to the gym, free of charge.  Please contact Mrs. Britton at cbritton@geneseechristianschool.com or refer to the Daycare Handbook for more information.

Summer Program

Our summer program begins Monday, June 3 at 7:00 am.  If you would like your child to attend this program, please contact the daycare office for information at 810.743.3110 #2 or email Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com.

Daycare/Preschool Enrollment

We are taking applications for the 2024-2025 school year.  If you are interested in enrolling your child in our program, please contact Mrs. Kubczak at kkubczak@geneseechristianschool.com to schedule a tour.

All students 4 years old and younger must enroll through the daycare/preschool program.

Latchkey Snacks

We are offering a variety of snacks for your child to purchase while they are in PM Latchkey.  Latchkey 

snack tickets are available at $15 each.

 

Elementary

Academic Testing

Elementary IOWA testing will begin April 8 (Kindergarten will begin April 3). It is important that students get good sleep and a healthy breakfast. 

It’s Spring!

Our playground will be muddy for the next several weeks.  Please send boots, extra socks and outerwear with your child to keep them dry.

Auction Winners!

Congratulations to the third grade class for bringing in the most auction donations!  They will get a fun day out of school with Mrs. Carpenter to celebrate!

Kindergarten Enrollment (K5)

Yearbooks

Junior-Senior Banquet

Tickets for the Junior-Senior Banquet are on sale now for $45.  Juniors and Seniors should check their email for details.

Academic Testing

  • MME Testing – Juniors will be participating in MME testing (ACT WorkKeys, SAT, and M-Step) on April 9-11th.
  • PSAT 9 and PSAT 10 – All 9th graders will be taking the PSAT 9 on Tuesday, April 16th.  All 10th graders will be taking the PSAT 10 on Monday, April 15th.
  • IOWA Testing –  Students in 6th-8th grades will be participating in the IOWA testing on April 16-17.

*Please do your best to make sure that your students are at school on these important testing dates.

Robotics

The Robotics Team had a successful competition March 22-23. They ended their season with some great wins and look forward to starting on repairs and builds for next season.

Varsity Girls Soccer Fundraiser Event today (4/2)

What’s for dinner?  Come to Culvers in Davison today (4/2) and support the GCS girls soccer teams fundraiser.  In order for our team to get credit – You must bring a fundraiser flyer and hand it to the cashier at the counter or drive thru.  Flyers are available in school offices or print the one sent to your email.

 

Athletic Physicals

Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have a physical form on file by the first day of practice. This form must be the MHSAA form completed and signed by a physician on or after April 15, 2023. This applies to high school and middle school sports. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.

Sports Fee

Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.
