Training Minds, Nurturing Hearts, Building Christ-Like Character

Elementary Program at Genesee Christian School

Elementary Campus-

Kindergarten through 5th grade

At Genesee Christian School, our elementary program is a place where children are known, loved, and encouraged to grow in both faith and learning. During these important foundational years, students develop strong academic skills, build lasting friendships, and discover how God has uniquely created them.

Christ-Centered Learning

Spiritual growth is woven into every part of the school day. In addition to daily Bible instruction and prayer, elementary students gather for chapel every other week. These special times of worship and biblical teaching help students grow in their relationship with Christ and strengthen their sense of community as they learn to live out their faith together.

Partnering with Families

At Genesee Christian School, we are honored to partner with families during these formative years—training minds, nurturing hearts, and equipping students to love God, serve others, and pursue excellence in all they do.

Our curriculum provides a strong, well-rounded academic foundation taught through a biblical worldview. Core subjects include:

  • Bible
  • Reading
  • Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies

Students also participate in enrichment classes such as art, music, and physical education, giving them opportunities to explore their creativity and develop their God-given talents.

Foreign language and technology classes begin at an early age, equipping students with essential communication, digital literacy, and problem-solving skills. Technology is intentionally integrated to enhance learning while maintaining proven, traditional instructional methods.

Academic progress is monitored through standardized testing (Iowa testing), allowing us to track growth, maintain high standards, and provide individualized support for each student. Small class sizes ensure that every child receives personal attention and encouragement.

We believe learning should be meaningful and memorable. Field trips and interactive classroom experiences bring lessons to life, allowing students to explore God’s world, connect learning to real-life situations, and build lasting memories with their classmates.

  • Elementary students have opportunities to discover new interests and develop important life skills beyond the classroom. Activities such as:
    • Robotics
    • Jet League sports

help students build teamwork, creativity, perseverance, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

  • Developing Christ-like character is a vital part of the elementary experience. Through our Kids of Integrity program, teachers and staff intentionally guide students in learning and practicing traits such as:
    • Kindness
    • Respect
    • Responsibility
    • Honesty
    • Self-control

These lessons are lived out in the classroom, on the playground, and in everyday interactions, helping students grow into young people who reflect the heart of Christ.

Within a nurturing atmosphere and with caring teachers who truly know their students, children feel safe, valued, and inspired to do their best.
