Report Cards
Middle/High School will send home report cards on Thursday, 11/7. Elementary report cards will be in folders on Monday, 11/11.

The Christmas season is approaching QUICKLY! During November and December, Raise Right offers a wide variety of bonuses including $5 and $10 gift cards. Orders for physical cards will be placed on the following Tuesdays at 9am 11/5, 11/19, 12/3 and 12/10.
Blood Drive
The Honor Society students of Genesee Christian School are reaching out into our community by sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive.
The blood drive is scheduled for Friday, November 22, 2024 from 9:00am to 2:45pm in the High School Cafeteria.

Slush Thursday
With Harvest parties on Friday, slush will be on Thursday this week.
Harvest Parties Friday- 11/8
Students may wear festive dress/jeans/tshirts to parties. This is not a sweatpants day. See Mrs. Arnst’s email on guest attendance for Friday.
Bookworm Calendars
Students who turn in their completed October Bookworm calendar will receive a pizza coupon. Please encourage your child to read during the month of November.
Auction News
Elementary Parents, please send in your contribution toward the auction class project by Friday, November 15. Each class, as a group, is donating a basket (or item) to help support the auction, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! Thank you for your support of the auction!
Operation Christmas Child Boxes
Families may send in items to be packed or if you would like to order through Amazon you may view our “wish list” here: https://a.co/7WGadNz. This link is also a great way to get shopping ideas if you choose to shop personally. If you are able to help with shipping please send in cash or a check payable to GCS to the elementary office. Boxes need to be packed by the middle of November!
Cold and Wet Weather is HERE
With the arrival of colder weather, the grass is wet for morning gym classes and recess. Please send a jacket and an extra pair of socks with your child.
Christmas Store
We are looking for parent volunteers to help with the Elementary Christmas Store December 2-6. Needs are: setting up, helping students shop and wrapping gifts, among other things. Please reach out to Mrs. Forsyth at sforsyth@geneseechristianschool.com if you are interested.
Boys Jet League Basketball
The coordinator of Jet League Basketball is hoping to have a boys 4th, 5th & 6th grade winter program with games beginning January 11th. GCS participation in this league depends on if we have enough players to fill a team and coaching availability. All games are played on Saturday mornings. Sports fee is $50 per player.

MS/HS Service Day
Our middle and high school students will be participating in our annual GCS Service Day this Friday, November 8th. Middle school students will work on various projects to be given to area shelters or missions trips, and the high school students will be going out to do acts of service at various community places. Parents are welcome to work with us; if you would like to help, please email Mrs. Mein at mmein@geneseechristianschool.com.
Little Caesars Fundraiser
Fundraiser order forms have been sent home and all GCS middle and high school students have the opportunity to raise money for their upcoming school trips. Completed order forms and money are due no later than Wednesday, November 20.

Christmas Concert
The GCS Christmas Concert is quickly approaching! The concert will be on Friday evening, December 13, at 7:00 p.m. at Mayfair Bible Church. Please make sure that you have purchased the required concert attire if you are a part of the concert (6th graders, 7th graders, band, and HS Choir). See links here:

Athletic Physicals🩺
Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have a physical form on file by the first day of practice. This form must be the MHSAA form completed and signed by a physician on or after April 15, 2024. This applies to high school and middle school sports. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.

Sports Fee
Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per athlete/per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.

7th-12th Grade Cross Country👟
🎉A HUGE Congratulations to Brooke Sonnenberg, Nolan Stadel and Ian Ferguson for their outstanding performance at the MHSAA Cross Country State Finals. Brooke finished 21st out of 242 girls. Nolan & Ian shaved 14-19 seconds off their PRs. Fantastic way to end the season!
