USERNAME and Family Portal
Some upgrades are taking place with Family Portal and when you go to login you may need to type in your Username. After you put in your username the system will save it for the next login. Please contact the office if you have forgotten your username. Our district code is GEN-MI.
Blood Drive
GCS Honor Society is Reaching Out
The Honor Society students of Genesee Christian School are reaching out into our community by sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive.
The blood drive is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th, 2023 from 9:00am to 2:45pm in the High School Cafeteria. Masks will be required, and donors will be asked about COVID symptoms. Donors will not receive a COVID test.

Auction News
Parents, please check your email for an important note about the auction. We will have a GIFT CARD BLAST for the month of January. Every student/family that brings in a gift card ($10 value or higher, please) will be entered into a drawing for a special prize. To be entered into this drawing bring in your gift card by January 31st! Thank you in advance for helping make this event a success!

Valentine’s Day Orders
Valentine’s Day order forms will be coming home soon. Support the Senior class and get something special for your friend, family member or favorite teacher. Orders will be due Friday, February 3rd. K5- 12th grade will be receiving their items on Friday, February 10th. K4 will receive their items on Thursday, February 9th. Thank you for supporting the Class of 2023!

Tax Season – Day Care Statements
If you would like a copy of your 2022 daycare statement, please email Cheryl Britton at cbritton@geneseechristianschool.com and request a copy. Statements will be issued on a first come first served basis, and will be emailed directly to you. Paper copies are available upon request.
Early Dismissal Reminder – Do you need Child Care?
School is dismissed at noon on Friday January 20th. Please email KKubczak@geneseechristianschool.com by Friday, January 13th, to secure a spot for latchkey on that day.
Latchkey Snacks
Afternoon latchkey has several snack options that are available for purchase at $.50 each. Your child may also purchase a $10 snack ticket through the daycare.

MONDAY, January 23, 2023 is the first day of second semester.
Bucks for Bibles Day AND Fun Friday
Friday, January 13 will be our next Bucks for Bibles day. Plan on wearing school appropriate jeans for $1.00.
Mrs. Heath will be selling homemade cinnamon rolls for $3.00 (proceeds go towards the Bible project). Students must pre-order and pay Mrs. Heath before Friday to be sure we have enough. We ran out of cinnamon rolls last time – so we are trying it a different way.
High School MACS Fine Arts
Registration for the High School MACS Fine Arts competition is now open. Students in grades 10-12 may compete in a variety of events in art, music, and speech. The competition is held on Friday, March 10 in Midland.
Any student interested in competing MUST see Mrs. Houle this week for the registration materials. Registration closes Friday, January 20th.

Team Picture Day: JV Boys, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys: Team & Individual Photos are tomorrow, Tuesday, 1/10 right after school (3:15). Bring complete uniforms and be ready right after school. Everyone must be in the team pictures which are used for the yearbook. Individual pictures will only be taken if you tell the photographer you are ordering.

HS Baseball:

Middle School Boys Basketball
Uniforms are past due. Please place clean uniforms in the blue return bin located in the athletic office.
