(MTA busses will be running on early dismissal days)
Scrip
The Scrip program (a.k.a. Raise Right) is a great way to help with tuition and support GCS just by purchasing gift cards from places you would normally be shopping anyway! For more information visit https://geneseechristianschool.com/resources/#resources
The next Scrip ordering dates will be on the following Tuesdays at 9am: January 9 and February 6.
Auction News
Parents, please check your email for an important note about the auction. We will have a GIFT CARD BLAST for the month of January. Every student/family that brings in a gift card ($10 value or higher, please) will be entered into a drawing for a special prize. To be entered into this drawing bring in your gift card by January 31st! Thank you in advance for helping make this event a success!
Auction Sponsors & Ads Needed
We are currently looking for business sponsors and advertisements for our 15th Annual Benefit Auction, taking place on March 16. Valentine’s Day Orders – Due February 6th
Support the Senior class and get something special for your friend, family member or favorite teacher. Orders will be due Tuesday, February 6th . K5- 12th grade will be receiving their items on Wednesday, February 14th. K4 will receive their items on Tuesday, February 13th. Thank you for supporting the Class of 2024! Blood Drive
The Honor Society students of Genesee Christian School are reaching out to their community by sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive.
The blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria.

Little Leaders Preschool/Daycare and Latchkey
Tax Season – Day Care Statements
If you would like a copy of your 2023 daycare statement, please email Cheryl Britton at cbritton@geneseechristianschool.com and request a copy. Statements will be issued on a first come first served basis, and will be emailed directly to you. Paper copies available upon request. Accounts can also be viewed on FACTS SIS.
Early Dismissal Reminder – Do you need Child Care?
School is dismissed at noon on Friday January 19th. Please email KKubczak@geneseechristianschool.com by Friday, January 12th, to secure a spot for latchkey on that day.

Bucks for Bibles
Friday, January 12th is the next Bucks for Bibles day. Students can bring in $1 or more to wear athletic pants (no leggings). All proceeds go to the GCS Bible Project.

Box Tops
The elementary school has recently received a check for over $100 from families who “clip” box tops for us! You can download the app and scan your receipts. THANK YOU!

Bucks for Bibles Day
Friday, January 12th will be a Bucks for Bibles day. Students are allowed to wear school appropriate jeans for $1.00. All proceeds will go towards the GCS annual Bible Project.
Fun Friday
Friday, January 12th, will be our next Fun Friday. Remember, the purpose of each Fun Friday is to raise needed funds for our annual Bible Project. We have another great opportunity for your family to earn money for class trips! The sale runs now through February 9th.
Each book costs $25 and students receive 50% PROFIT if you sell the books we have on hand! Athletic Physicals
Students planning to participate in athletics MUST have a physical form on file by the first day of practice. This form must be the MHSAA form completed and signed by a physician on or after April 15, 2023. This applies to high school and middle school sports. Forms must be on file at the school athletic office before try-outs, practices, or games.

Sports Fee
Each student athlete must pay the following sports fee per sport/per season. These fees should be turned in by cash or check made payable to GCS to the Athletic Office before the first game.
JV/Varsity – $100.00
Junior High – $75.00
Jet League – $50.00

⚾️HS Baseball Open Gym Workouts:
Coach Payne will be hosting baseball open gyms every Saturday from 7pm-9pm in HS Gym.
High School Basketball
JV Boys / Varsity Boys / Varsity Girls Basketball Team & Individual Photos will be taken Thursday, January 25th right after school (3:15). Bring complete uniforms (home and away) and be ready right after school. Everyone must be in the team picture which is used for the yearbook. Individual pictures will only be taken if you tell the photographer you are ordering.
