School Play
Mark your calendar for this year’s heartwarming school play, The Thread That Runs So TruePerformances will be April 21, 22, and 23 at 7:00 PM in the high school gym.  Tickets are available in Student Services at the High School. Tickets are $8 each or 5 tickets for $35.  You may purchase your tickets ahead of time from a Junior or from the school office, or you may purchase them at the door.

The Thread That Runs So True is based upon the true life story of American educator Jesse Stuart (1906-1984).  Jesse Stuart was just eighteen years old and still in high school himself when he accepted the position to become the teacher at a small, one-room schoolhouse in the hills of Kentucky in the 1920s.  Though not receiving much encouragement from the school board or the community, he was determined to give the children of Lonesome Valley Rural School the best education he could.  Through his love for his students and his passion for teaching, he was able to win the hearts and minds of not only the students, but the adults as well.

Possible New Student Opportunity Scholarship

The leadership of the Michigan Association of Christian Schools (MACS) is working on behalf of Christian school parents to help push forward legislation that would allow for tuition tax credits for private education, through the Student Opportunity Scholarship Act. We would love for you to be a part of making that legislation a reality.  Please read the letter found in the link below and pick up a petition in the school office to collect signatures so your tax dollars can be used for the private education of your children.  If you have questions you may contact Dr. Tim Schmig, Executive Director of MACS, with the contact information on the letter.  Thank you for your investment in Christian education.
